After years of driving by this place, we finally got the chance to actually eat there. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, and to be honest the outside of the place isn't that appealing; but don't let that from dissuading you from stopping in! We got a tasty set of burgers with delicious fries and a drink at a price that's tough to beat! Sure, the inside is somewhat austere as well; but this is not a place for aesthetics but to eat, and it won't disappoint! As my son so aptly pointed out, it wouldn't have survived for as long as it had if it wasn't great!
UPDATE: We were so impressed by lunch at Stump's yesterday, I took my wife there for breakfast. Well, if lunch was excellent, breakfast was even better! I had the French Toast plate with sausage, hash browns and scrambled eggs. My wife got a couple of breakfast tacos and hash browns. We were equally impressed, but the best part is the clientele that eats here. It is clearly evident that this is a local hangout for breakfast, as the majority of folks eating there knew each other; but the best part was how friendly everyone was (including the staff). We couldn't have felt more welcomed. Several customers actually offered to top off our coffee mugs while we ate. Where else would you see such kind gestures? Even my wife, who can be somewhat selective in restaurant choices, loved Stump's!
Bottom line, if you're in the area and looking for a solid meal at a decent price, Stump's should be your first choice! -

Nice little spot by the house. Owners are cool just laid back to serve the locals and truckers that stop for lunch.

I have lived in this area for 14yrs and always thought this place was closed. I guess I always drive by after 2pm cause that is when they close. My friend drives past every morning and always sees a good amount if cars there. So on Sat we came by and tried the chicken fried steak $7.99 and cheese hamburger combo $6 and it was pretty good. Hot and fresh we will be back for breakfast one of these days!

The place is homey and visited by locals and farmers. I've been stopping by for as far back as I can remember. The burgers are awesome, made like mom used to make them with all fresh veggies warm toasted bun and great fries. As a matter of fact we're heading over again today cause I like home made burgers like Stump's Burgers.
